Leasing a horse or pony is one of the fastest ways to improve as a rider because it provides consistent, hands-on experience beyond scheduled lessons. Regular independent riding allows students to practice skills, refine techniques, and develop a deeper understanding of their horse’s personality and responses. This extra time in the saddle builds confidence, strengthens communication between rider and horse, and accelerates progress in both flatwork and jumping. Students quickly learn problem-solving, responsibility, and time management, all while enjoying the freedom to explore their own pace and style. Ultimately, leasing creates a richer, more rewarding riding experience that complements lessons and fast-tracks skill development.
Pricing
Leasing is available year-round. We offer leases to riders Green Level Horsemanship and higher, children and adults, and rides are up to 40 minutes in the saddle. Minors must be supervised at all times. All leasers must be enrolled in riding classes, lease rides are NOT used during lessons. There are no make up rides, if an assigned day is missed the ride cannot be made up. We close during major school breaks and 1 week of the summer, this does not change pricing for those months.
